Remember in the movie the wizard of oz. The wizard couldn’t give the scarecrow brains, but could give him a diploma.
Isn’t that a funny jab at academia.
One can get a diploma without having any brains. Also, of course, this diploma was given to the scarecrow by the Wizard of Oz who was a fraud. It sure explains a lot about the economics departments at universities these days.
And then what’s the first thing the scarecrow does after receiving his diploma? He recites theorems WRONG.
